lex orandi, lex credendi

Lex orandi, lex credendi is a Latin maxim that roughly translates to “the law of prayer is the law of belief“. Coined by the 5th-century theologian Prosper of Aquitaine, it means that the way Christians worship shapes what they ultimately believe to be true.
