Mia Physis

(μία φύσις) Literally, “one nature.” St. Cyril’s phrase mia physis tou Theou Logou sesarkōmenē — “one incarnate nature of God the Word” — is the touchstone of miaphysite Christology. It is a compositional “one” in which divinity and humanity are fully and inseparably present, not a replacement “one.”
